Bringing Dreams to Life: Using AI to Engage Netflix’s Audience Beyond the Waking World
When Netflix approached us to promote their fantasy series The Sandman, I was tasked with leading the creative vision for a campaign that would immerse audiences in a world of dreams. Our goal was not just to promote the show, but to allow viewers to experience The Sandman on a deeper level—by dreaming about it.
The Sandman is a fantasy series based on the iconic graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, which has a huge cult following. The show explores the personification of dreams, weaving together themes of mythology, fantasy, and the subconscious. Given the deep fan base and the unique nature of the story, we knew that promoting the series with traditional media wasn't enough. I aimed to create a campaign that would break the mold, engaging fans in a more personal way by immersing them in the dream world itself—reflecting the show’s themes and offering a truly unique experience.
